Kim Clijsters’ Barbie Doll

You know you have made it as a tennis star when your image has become immortilaize as a barbie doll.   Mattel Inc. has made a replica of both Kim and her cute daughter, Jada.

Jada, almost 2, caught the world’s attention at the U.S. Open last September when celebrating her mother’s victory at Flushing Meadows.

Clijsters said in a statement: “When I was a young girl I played with my Barbie dolls … My family means everything to me, so I was really excited when I found out that Jada would also receive her very own ‘Jada Barbie’ doll.”

For those of you who are lucky enough to have an iPhone or iTouch there are a couple of cool tennis apps available.

You won’t be late for your next USTA match with the Tennis Court Locator App.  This app lets you search for tennis courts anywhere in the world.  Search results return the closest courts, and give you a distance in miles to that court along with turn by turn directions.  You can also search for courts that have lights, no fees, proshop,bathroom, water, and backboard.

Rivals is a tennis personal score keeper app.  Keep scores of all your mactches with full history. It even tracks your closest oppents you have a hard time beating so you know who is your Archrival.

Womens Tennis World’s New Addition

Women’s Tennis World has a new staff member.  His name is Bodie and he is a Minature Austrailian Shepard.  He goes to the office daily.  

We are hoping he will be our new tennis star.  He already keeps his eye on the ball.

Tennis Player’s Pets

We all love ourt pets and tennis players are no exception.  Check out our favorite player’s best friends.

Isn’t Andy Murry cute sleeping with his dog?   This is the calmest I have ever seen him.

                        

Both Venus & Serena are hudge dog lovers.  You may have seen their dogs on the tennis tour with them.  I personaly ran into Venus walking her dog in down town Charleston this year while at the Family Circle Cup.  I’m not sure how many dogs Venus has right now.  The dog that travels with her is  Harold, he is a Havanese.  I believe she also has a Yorkshire Terrier, Barbie and and two large Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.   Serena, has two dogs, Jackie, a Jack Russell Terrier and a Maltese. 

Martina Navratilova holds her dog, Bina, next to Martha Stewart.  Martina shows her passion for animals by her involvment in charities that benefit animal rights.

Designer Tennis Bags

We just added some fabulous designer tennis bags to our site.  I bought one as a sample and took it to USTA districts in Virgina.  The ladies loved the bag and half my team bought one.  I took orders right there at the tournament and players were arguing who could buy the bag I brought.

Two days after I put these tennis bags online we received an express order.  The order was from the producer of the television show Melrose Place.  They wanted this couture tennis bag for a shoot the next morning.  Unfortunetly, I couldn’t get them the bag but it was exciting to see the interest in this tennis bag.
